THIEVES STRIP CAR OF DOORS, SEATS AND WHEELS CRM Thieves strip car of doors, seats and wheels Thieves totally stripped a car -- including doors, seats and wheels, Police reported yesterday.

The car had been towed to a garage in Well Bottom Southampton on Thursday after being in an accident. But on Saturday a male complainant reported to Police that he arrived at the garage to find only the shell of the beige Toyota Starlet.

Police also investigated several break-ins over the weekend.

The occupant of a lower apartment on Radnor Road, Hamilton Parish, told Police that someone broke into the property between Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon.

One of the bedrooms was reportedly ransacked and damage was done to the laundry room.

Meanwhile a businesswoman lost her brown leather briefcase containing personal and business items when a thief broke into her car on Friday evening. The vehicle was locked and parked on Reid Street.

And the Mid Ocean Club have reported the theft of several golf clubs between Friday afternoon and 8 a.m. Saturday.

The cycle took off in the direction of Canal Road.

Police have a description of the suspect.

Police said the car was parked for about an hour and when the owner returned he discovered that a portable CD player and two CDs had been taken.

The boat was moored at Foot of the Lane in Pembroke.

ALLEGED BURGLAR SEEN LEAVING PROPERTY -- POLICE CRM Alleged burglar seen leaving property -- Police Police said an alleged burglar was caught as he was crawling out of a lower apartment window last Tuesday night.

Officers arrived at the Glebe Road, Pembroke Parish home after receiving a call that the break-in was taking place.

The 33-year-old Pembroke man was arrested and taken to Hamilton Police Station and after being cautioned he admitted that he had broken into the apartment with the intent to commit a crime.

In an unrelated case, a South Road, Tucker's Town family were told by a passerby that a man was seen climbing out of a window to their home at around 5 p.m. last Tuesday.

The couple had been shopping and were just returning home. They were still outside when they were told about the break in.

The suspect had searched the house and taken a bag of coins.

INTRUDER DRMANDS CASH FROM BOAT OWNER CRM Intruder demands cash from boat owner A quiet morning on board his boat had a Sandys Parish man facing an intruder.

Police said a 29-year-old Southampton man allegedly entered a boat moored at Robinson's Marina, not knowing the owner was on board.

When they confronted each other the suspect demanded the boat owner give him money.

The victim refused, at which point the suspect became agitated and began to threaten him.

The suspect left the boat only when the victim called Police.

But he is alleged to have stopped along the way to smash the window of the boat owner's truck, that was parked nearby.

The suspect was arrested on White Hill, Sandys and taken to Somerset Police Station.

CYCLISTS ASSAULTED NEAR HAMILTON BUS TERMINAL CRM Cyclist assaulted near Hamilton bus terminal A man was assaulted while riding his auxiliary cycle near City Hall last Thursday.

The assailant walked up to the cyclist at the stop light near the bus terminal shortly before 4.30 p.m.

He allegedly struck the man in the face. This was apparently in retaliation for a previous incident.

Police are investigating after the victim gave details on the suspect.

POLICE DETAIN MAN OVER STEREO SYSTEM THEFT CRM Police detain man over stereo system theft A 34-year-old Smith's Parish man was taken to Hamilton Police Station last Monday evening following the theft of a stereo system.

The arrest took place on St. John's Road near Controversy Lane in Pembroke at around 5 p.m.
