Junction warning
Streets for the next two weeks due to construction work.
Corporation of Hamilton Secretary Roger Sherratt apologised for any inconvenience and urged people to be careful when driving around the junction.
A new office block is being built on that junction and from today a crane will completely obstruct one of the lanes of traffic on Victoria Street as steel is erected to the rear of the property.
Congestion is likely as only one lane will be in use.
The crane is expected to be in place for at least two weeks.
Mr. Sherratt said: "The problem is that in order to erect steel, they have to use a very large crane and it is going to take up half of the road.
"The road will still be open, but we are expecting hold-ups as traffic queues to give way to oncoming vehicles.
"During the day, somebody will be directing traffic, but at night, lights will be in operation.''
