Centre was bailed in Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Police prosecutor Insp. Peter Duffy told the court that last Tuesday Gilbert L. Webb was seen by an employee at the Shopping Centre on Victoria Street putting a bottle of Bacardi rum valued at $21.60 in his coat pocket.
He added that when the employee caught him, he told Webb he would have to remain in the store until the Police arrived, a fight ensued.
Insp. Duffy also said that Webb had a previous record for stealing alcohol, and he had been given a suspended prison sentence.
Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp bailed Webb in the sum of $200 until she received a report from Probation Services.
