believed to have drowned in the waters in Point Shares.

The man was pulled from the waters of Fairyland's Creek, near Keybay Lane, Pembroke around 9.30 a.m. yesterday.

His lifeless body was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by paramedics, where he was pronounced dead.

A Police spokesman last night said there was no indication of foul play in the man's death.

That area of Fairylands was also the scene yesterday of more Police activity, when officers were called to retrieve an unfired artillery shell.

The shell was found across Fairyland's Creek, close to Deep Wood Drive yesterday afternoon.

Explosive and Ordnance Department officers removed the 80-pound shell and are expected to soon dispose of it safely.

A member of the public spotted the live round and contacted Police.

Police yesterday warned the public about handling suspicious objects found in the water, saying that after many years in the water shells can still be active but unstable and therefore dangerous.
