Man found bleeding, unconscious on road
Saturday morning after he was discovered lying unconscious and bleeding from head injuries on Victoria Street.
The Pembroke man -- who was listed in satisfactory condition in a general ward at the hospital last night -- had been involved in an altercation, reported Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning.
He added that a 17-year-old Hamilton Parish man was arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries were continuing.
And a 33-year-old Sandys Parish man was allegedly assaulted and robbed of cash and jewellery by two men near PHC Stadium shortly after midnight on Friday, said P.c. Venning.
Last night, he was listed in stable condition in a general ward at the hospital.
In another incident, Police went to Court Street on Friday at 5.30 p.m. where they found a 32-year-old Southampton man with head injuries being helped by members of the public.
He was taken to hospital where doctors stitched up a head wound and discharged him but it was not apparent how he received his injuries as of last night, said P.c. Venning.

Police are also appealing to witnesses of a road traffic accident on South Shore Road near the Warwick Gas Station on Friday evening which resulted in a 31-year-old Sandys man breaking his leg.
The injured man was riding a Yamaha motor cycle westerly shortly before midnight when he collided with a Toyota Starlet car turning from the eastbound lane into the gas station.
He was reported to be in satisfactory condition at the hospital while both vehicles were extensively damaged. Witnesses are asked to call P.c. Raoul Ming at 295-0011.
And a 35-year-old Pembroke man suffered head injuries after the Honda Lead scooter he was riding collided with a car on Dutton Avenue at about 10.30 a.m.
yesterday morning.
P.c. Venning said the man was heading south when he rounded a bend, collided with a Suzuki Fronte car and was apparently thrown over its bonnet, sustaining serious injuries as a result.
The two vehicles were extensively damaged and witnesses are asked to call P.c.

Police are also investigating a report of a handbag snatch on Friday evening and would like witnesses to contact Central CID at 295-0011.
The victim said she left her home on South Road in Paget at 9.45 p.m. with the cream-coloured bag fastened in the rear basket of her cycle with a bungee cord and arrived at Point Finger Road where she found the bag was gone. It is believed a motorcycle was close to her near Paget traffic lights and may be responsible for her bag's disappearance.
