by following her was yesterday given a conditional discharge for 12 months.

Joao Correia Dacosta Barbosa, of Pitt's Bay Road, pleaded guilty to the offence, which occurred on September 28, 1993.

Sgt. Earl Kirby, prosecuting, said the 32-year-old woman was jogging on Point Finger Road at around 7.45 p.m. when Barbosa approached her on a motorcycle, passing her and then slowing down.

He continued to follow her until she turned east along South Road.

There, he passed her twice before slowing down behind her. The complainant claimed she then felt some fluid spray on her leg.

Barboza then turned around, but she screamed at him.

The woman saw him again on October 18, 1993 riding the same motor cycle. She noted the number and reported him to Police.

He was arrested and he admitted following the woman.

Barbosa's lawyer Mr. Trevor Moniz said his client admitted to following the woman but denied ejaculating on her.

The Wor. Charles-Etta Simmons agreed that the charge was not serious "in the scheme of things''.

Since Barbosa had no previous convictions for any sexual offences, Ms Simmons gave him a conditional discharge for 12 months.

He was also told to stay away from the complainant and get psychological or psychiatric treatment for six months.
