Man warned and fined
friend on Thursday, ended up getting himself handcuffed and thrown out of the court.
He was yesterday charged with wilfully failing to comply with a Police officer in the course of his duties and violently resisting arrest. He was fined $400.
Ross Noel Parsons who is employed as a mechanic and played First Division soccer for Dandy Town, appeared in court with his shirt unbuttoned. Police approached him and advised him of the court's dress code.
While Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis was addressing another case, Parons interrupted the proceedings.
He was escorted from the court and warned but when he returned he continued speaking.
When Police approached he began shouting. Once outside he punched one officer in the mouth. It took three officers to arrest him.
Mr. Francis explained the necessity for rules and proper etiquette in the court.
"I like to offer everyone the chance to speak and have their say, but I insist that everyone do it properly.'' He then fined Parsons $200 for refusing to comply with Police and another $200 for violently resisting arrest.
