Tanya Durham, 28, of Kitchener Close, Sandys, has 17 creditors banging on her door asking for cash.
Yesterday Magistrate Arthur Hodgson cancelled all existing court orders against the mother, after she agreed to pay off the debts at a rate of $85 a week.
Durham explained that she had managed to get a job waitressing at the Elbow Beach Hotel two weeks ago. The job offer came after former Home Affairs Minister Quinton Edness launched a personal crusade to get the debt-ridden mum back to work.
After the hearing Durham said that she took home little more than $100 a week from her job, but also received tips.
