Planning officials granted permission for the realignment of a sea wall, steps and relocation of pool, and the redesign of additions to the family home on AP Owen Road, Smith's Parish.

The house was the subject of controversy in October when it was discovered former Environment Minister Arthur Hodgson allowed work to continue on the site, although his technical officers had issued a stop notice.

The officers were concerned over building materials being used and the construction of unauthorised additions.

Retrospective planning permission was applied for following the disagreement.
