Dwight Wright, 27, of Beacon Hill, Jamaica, was remanded until his next court appearance on September 22.
Wright appeared before Senior Magistrate Will Francis yesterday, following a combined Police and Customs raid on the Norwegian Majesty cruise ship, which netted 6.5 pounds of cannabis and half a pound of cocaine. The cruise ship busboy is charged with importation of cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, and handling with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.
Peter Eccles appeared for the Attorney General and Renee Foggo represented Wright. Wright's mother, who had flown in from Jamaica, and pregnant girlfriend and mother were in court for the hearing.
