The ten metre sloop was at the centre of a dramatic rescue operation this week when two French nationals sent out a distress call. They were rescued by Bermuda pilots on Tuesday.

At approximately 12.30 p.m. Tuesday, Ophelie was located about 15 miles northwest of Dockyard but drifting quickly in a north-westerly direction.
