Peniston file handed to Attorney General
Shipping -- run by troubled businessman Mr. Llewellyn Peniston -- is now complete, Police reported yesterday.
The file has been forwarded to the Attorney General's Chambers who will determine whether any charges should be laid.
Already court action is taking place against Mr. Peniston.
His former partner in the glass-bottom boat firm Bermuda Vacations, Mr. Robert Thomson, is attempting to have him declared bankrupt.
But the hearing has been delayed twice, once at Mr. Peniston's request and the second time because the judge hearing it was unavailable.
Mr. Thomson's lawyer Mr. Andrew Martin has argued that the longer the trial was adjourned the more difficult it would be for creditors to retrieve their monies from Mr. Peniston.
However, the trial has been put off until Puisne Judge Mr. Richard Ground is available next month.
