FISHERMEN LAND IN HOT WATER FHP Fishermen land in hot water Four fishermen landed in hot water when their boat's engine packed up 12 miles off Bermuda yesterday.

The 25-foot Layla began taking on water near Challenger Bank at about 4 p.m., said a Harbour Radio spokesman.

"We think the vessel was involved in a fishing tournament when it became disabled,'' he added.

"Fortunately the fishermen got one of the two engines restarted and they managed to limp back to shore. Other vessels in the area were alerted and escorted the Layla back.''
