A Barbadian Policeman has been promoted to the rank of Inspector in the Bermuda service.Inspector Tyrone Smith, 43, (pictured right) joined the Bermuda Police service in 1978 and has worked in all three divisions in the uniform branch.

Inspector Tyrone Smith, 43, (pictured right) joined the Bermuda Police service in 1978 and has worked in all three divisions in the uniform branch. He has also served on traffic duty and, on his promotion to the rank of Sergeant in 1991 he became the head of the Police Driving School. He is now attached to the Task Force Unit and is also a senior member of the Traffic Accident Investigation Team.
Inspector Smith is well known on the cricket field, having represented Bermuda, The Somerset Cup Match team, Willow Cuts in the Western Counties and Flatts in the Eastern Counties.
