Porn warning for Internet users

A Police spokesman said yesterday that a letter with details of the subscriptions has already been circulated locally on the Internet.
The pornographer offers both audio and visual materials and gives a New York address.
"While no offences have been committed in Bermuda,'' the spokesman said, "the offer contravenes US postal regulations.'' It is understood that Internet users in the Federal Republic of Germany has received similar material and has sought help from the United States.
Anyone who received a similar offer through the Internet is asked to contact Det. Con. Brian Callahan or Woman Det. Con. Kim Vickers at 299-4359.

Trevor Waite, of Alexander Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to possessing the drugs on June 12.
Prosecutor Sgt. Anthony Mouchette said Police were on patrol on Curving Avenue in Pembroke when they stopped Waite's car.
Upon searching him the officers found a brown paper twist in his pants pocket.
Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered Waite to pay a $100 fine.
BULK CARRIER DROPS OFF INJURED SAILOR SHI HOS Bulk carrier drops off injured sailor The Greek-registered bulk carrier Meraklis stopped off in Bermuda to drop off a sick crewman yesterday.
The crewman, who was taken by pilot boat from the ship at 12.25 p.m., is believed to have suffered a possible dislocation to his lower right leg.
The ship then resumed her voyage from Houston to Rouen, France.
MAN HELD AT AIRPORT FLY Man held at Airport A 33-year-old Devonshire man was arrested on suspicion of posssessing drugs at Bermuda International Airport after he returned on a flight from the United States.
The man returned on Wednesday evening and a search revealed that he was in possession of plant material. The material will be analysed and the man is expected to appear in court in due course.
DRIVER, PASSENGER HURT AC Driver, passenger hurt A 55-year-old Sandys woman and her 11-year-old female passenger received cuts and bruises after their car struck a wall on Wednesday evening.
They were travelling in a Hyundai hatchback at about 6 p.m. near St. Paul's Church in Paget when the driver apparently lost control and the car struck the nearside wall.
BIKE, CAR COLLIDE AC Bike, car collide A 17-year-old Smith's Parish man received cuts and bruises after his auxiliary cycle was in collision with a Nissan van on Wednesday evening.
The accident occurred around 6.30 p.m. when the auxiliary cycle was travelling north on Langton Hill and the van was emerging from Ocean Lane.
WARWICK MAN HELD CTS Warwick man held Police arrested a 30-year-old Warwick man on Wednesday afternoon after he was found to be in possession of what is believed to have been a quantity of cannabis and crack cocaine.
The arrest took place on Ord Road in Warwick after the man was stopped and searched.
MOTORCYCLIST INJURED AC Motorcyclist injured A 16-year-old Pembroke youth sustained cuts to his face after he lost control of his auxiliary cycle on Richmond Road on Wednesday night.
He was negotiating a right hand bend at the junction with Ferrars Lane around 11 p.m. when the mishap occurred.
