Prisoner causes Police car crash
in the back seat.
The incident happened after Police officers tried to stop a man on his motor cycle on North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, on Wednesday around 10.30 p.m.
The 22-year old rider jumped off his bike and ran down the Railway Trail to escape.
Police caught him and got him in the Police car after a violent struggle.
But the prisoner lashed out and kicked the driver's shoulder as they were driving to St. George's Police Station.
The driver lost control and collided with a tree, a Police spokesman said yesterday.
Minor damage was caused to the Police car and the officer was slightly injured.

A visiting couple staying at Paget Guest House reported that someone had entered their room and taken a wallet on Wednesday morning.

TRASHATHON PLANNED CLB Trashathon planned Neighbourhood residents and a local boys group are teaming together to clean-up a polluted area of North Shore.
The volunteers will tackle the shoreline between the Clayhouse Inn and the Anchorage Club in Devonshire on June 14.
The participants are part of both the Loyal Hill Community Group, a group of concerned residents, and the De Boys Day Out Club, a local group of boys who participate in community service projects.
Organiser Laureen Bassett said: "The area looks clean from the roadside, but down by the water it is completely polluted. There is a lot of trash and bottles that needs to be picked up.'' The clean-up will take place between 1.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. and all members of the public are welcomed to join.
