Mr. Marshall, speaking during the motion to adjourn in the House of Assembly on Friday afternoon, said he is often approached about the noise produced by bikes.
The Smith's North MP said his licence was once suspended for having a noisy bike when he was younger.
"And I never had a noisy muffler again,'' he said. "An advertising campaign will remind youngsters about the legislation in place against noise pollution and tampering with mufflers.'' Mr. Marshall suggested an amnesty period after the ads which would allow offenders to correct the problem.
"We need to go back and bring back that type of policing,'' he said.
