new schools is now underway.

Beginning last Friday, parents with children entering a new Government pre, primary, middle or senior school in September this year can fill out the application forms.

They must apply for the school of their choice and submit it to that school, along with a copy of the child's birth certificate or passport by February 9.

The forms are available from all Government Post Offices, except Perot's, all Government schools, and from the Ministry of Education on Point Finger Road in Paget.

Children who are already in the Government system will be given forms to take home to their parents.

The forms are colour-coded for easy identification. Pre-school forms are pink, primary school forms are gold, middle school forms green, and senior school forms blue.

The forms may be submitted to the school any time between February 7 and February 9.

If the child is already in the Government system, the form should be returned to the school the child currently attends. If the student is not in the public system, the form should be sent to the school of choice.
