CONCERT IN THE PARK ENT Concert in the park The Bank of Butterfield's popular Concert In the Park Series will kick off its 1993 season on a spiritual note on April 11.

The Easter Sunday Gospel Concert In the Park and Bank of Butterfield Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Victoria Park on Cedar Avenue, Hamilton, from 5.30 to 8 p.m.

Some of the Island's top local gospel choirs, vocalists and musical ensembles will be featured.

Festivities begin with a children's Easter egg hunt, which begins promptly at 5.30 p.m. Participants should bring their own baskets.

Some of the many artists slated to perform at the concert following the hunt are: Rejoice, Choral Dynamics, Blanche Musson, Touch of Brass, Apex Four, In His Image and Patsy and Patrina O'Connor. There will be a special appearance by popular singing duo His and Her's.

The public are invited to bring a picnic dinner to the event, although refreshment stalls will be available.

BETTER RECEPTION FOR PHONE USERS BUC Better reception for phone users Cellular phone users will get better reception now that the Bermuda Telephone Company has increased its cellular antennae by 23 feet.

Telco was given permission by the Development Applications Board earlier this week to extend the 14-foot antennae atop its Washington Street offices. The company has already made the extension.

"The increase will allow users to penetrate greater distances and improve the quality of the service,'' Telco general manager Mr. Ernest Pacheco said yesterday.

MISSING WOMAN POL Missing woman Police are appealing for information about a 51-year-old woman who has been missing since late on Saturday evening.

Police spokesman Sgt. John Dale said relatives and friends of Ms Leonore Pauline Woods, of Marsh Folly Lane, Devonshire, were concerned about her.

"She is Bermudian and described as brown-skinned, five feet three inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has straight, black shoulder length hair. It is not known what she is wearing,'' he said.

"We would appeal to Ms Woods to contact us at 295-0011.'' BAIL DENIED CTS Bail denied A man facing attempted murder charges was denied bail for a third time yesterday.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis refused the application put forward by Ronald Anthony Wayne Daniels' lawyer, Mr. Richard Hector, and remanded the father of three in custody until his next appearance in two weeks.

The former MarketPlace employee, of Link Lane, Hamilton Parish, was not present in the court.

He is charged with attempted murder, attempted grievous bodily harm which led to an unlawful wounding and possession of an offensive weapon.

The 39-year-old is said to have attacked the manager of the MarketPlace supermarket in Hamilton Parish, Terry Lee Wood, with a 22-inch machete in February.

BUSY BURGLARS CRM Busy burglars Thieves broke into a home off Wilkinson Avenue, Hamilton Parish, and stole $150 in cash, a Sony CD player and costume jewellery chains, Police reported yesterday.

Jewellery was also stolen from a house on White Hill View, Sandys on Wednesday. Items included a gold square shaped ring with ornates and diamonds and a watch.

In another raid in Sandys, burglars stole $100 and a pair of Docksiders, from a house on the Railway Trail.

Thieves also struck in a home in Pompano Beach Road stealing a jewellery box containing two opal and diamond rings and two pairs of gold earrings.
