Chioke Tucker, 20, of Tribe Road No. 2, pleaded not guilty last week to speeding charges after he was pulled over by Police on Crow Lane on March 27.

Tucker said he was on a rental cycle "that couldn't even do 50''.

"There were bikes overtaking me, but I was the one who got a ticket,'' he said.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis asked Tucker if he was disputing the accuracy of the Police radar.

"I think I have seen rental cycles overtaking me,'' Mr. Francis said mockingly. "I think I have. Maybe I'm wrong.'' In a separate matter, Tucker pleaded guilty to charges of speeding at 66 kph and driving without a valid driver's licence on Middle Road in Warwick last year. He was fined $390 and banned from riding motorcycles for six months.
