Rogers remains at large

sometime on Monday night, was still at large last night. Despite a special Police unit searching for him and appeals to the community for help, Rogers was still nowhere to be found yesterday, after having been on the run for three days.

Rogers was arrested shortly after being released from Westgate Correctional Facility for breaching his bail conditions.

He was able to escape from St. George's Police Station after forcing his way through a holding cell wall described by a Police spokesperson as a "stone wall''.

Rogers is considered to be dangerous and all units have been informed to arrest him on sight.

A full-scale inquiry into the escape was called for from Commissioner of Police Jean-Jacques Lemay on Tuesday.

Rogers is 6ft 1in and weighs 200 pounds. Police would like to remind members of the public that harbouring an escaped prisoner is considered a prosecutable offence. Anyone with information should contact Eastern Division at 294-4214.
