The Extraordinary Election was announced last week from Returning Officer Robert Lewis following the death of Leon (Jimmy) Williams earlier this year.

Competing for the spot are Marica Caisey, William Davis, Kingsley Francis, Ivan Smith and Christopher West.

Votes will be accepted at the Town Hall in St. George's from 11 a.m. with the polls closing at 8 p.m.

Voters registered as of August 28 are eligible to vote.

The Corporation consists of nine members. Presently sitting are Mayor Lois Perinchief; Aldermen Noela Haycock, C. Ross Smith and Terrence Roberts; and Common Councillors E. Michael Jones, David Raine, Louis DeSilva and Kenneth Bascome.
