Police reported that the stabbing took place at the Devonshire Recreation Club where shortly before midnight, officers discovered the victim lying on the floor unconscious in a pool of blood.

He was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

As a result of inquiries a 39-year-old Pembroke man was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.
