Students brush up on community spirit
neighbourhood.
Pupils from the Whitney Institute have been painting the bus shelter outside their school, after they asked if they could clean up the graffiti adorning it.
It is all part of Gang Resistance Education and Training, which the students have been taking part in. The joint scheme between the Police and Ministry of Education has shown them how violence and crime affect individuals, neighbourhoods and all of society.
Class M3 have taken on the task of cleaning the shelter with the assistance of P.c Grant Tomkins. Materials and help have been provided by the Bermuda Life Skills Group.
