pleaded guilty to seven theft-related charges on Friday in Magistrates' Court.

Tafari Gary Mallory, 18, initially pleaded not guilty when the charges were read on March 23 but later that hearing, he said he would like to plea guilty.

The court heard that a teenage trio allegedly stole over $160,000 in cash and jewels from seven Southampton homes on February 19 of this year.

Co-accused Jessie Yannis Mills, 17, pleaded guilty to the charges on March 23.

And co-accused Devon Peter Simons, 16, maintained his not guilty plea yesterday.

But acting Senior Magistrate Edward King warned Simons, of Rushy Lane, Sandys, that if he was found guilty and the magistrate thought their sentencing power insufficient, he could be sent to Supreme Court for sentencing.

Mr. King told the trio that none of them would get bail under the circumstances. Simons said: "I'm not trying to upset you. If you got upset, that has nothing to do with me.'' Mallory, of Sound View Road, Sandys and Mills, of Simmons Lane, are awaiting a social inquiry report before sentencing. Simons will be tried on May 29.

All three said they had lawyers but no defence counsel appeared for the roll-over hearing.
