Three deny assault
causing grievous bodily harm to Shawn Stevens on the Remembrance Day holiday.
Rawn Michael Warner, Jamal Orlando Symonds and Dwight Martin Basden all denied beating Mr. Stevens while being concerned together and with others not before the court.
Warner, 20, of 6 Soundview Road, and Symonds, of 14 White Hill Lane, were represented by lawyer Elizabeth Christopher when they appeared in court on Friday.
Basden, 26, of 8 Bushy Park Drive, was unrepresented.
Crown counsel Veronica Gordon asked for an adjournment to get the information on each man in order.
Senior Magistrate Will Francis released the men on $2,500 bail to reappear on January 5 for mention. Warner and Symonds must produce one surety each.
Mr. Stevens, 24, of Pembroke, received serious head injuries after being set upon by a gang at the junction of Court Street and Church Street around 5 a.m.
on the November 11 holiday.
