Two cars collided just after 3 p.m. in treacherous driving conditions. The crash victims, a man and a woman, were both taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital suffering from lacerations, although neither were thought to have serious injuries.

The road was blocked for about 30 minutes while Police cleared wreckage from the crash site.
