"It doesn't look like there will be any significant change at least for the next week,'' Cmdr. Jim Bancroft said.
"Maybe there will be a break on Sunday or Monday, but a new system should be in from the US east coast, possibly on Tuesday.'' The unseasonal weather is the result of the so-called Bermuda high pressure system being further southeast of the Island than usual. A series of cold fronts have been moving up against it, creating rain and wind, before dissipating.
June's total rainfall to noon yesterday was 6.18 inches. The monthly average is 5.1 inches.
