Top of the list is an already secured deal for a dedicated film on the Island on the top-rated Travel Channel.

The show is to send its "exotic islands'' to Bermuda to shoot a 30 minute segment in June, with a planned showing in the Autumn.

In addition, Fox-TV, CNN, TV Food Network, Rosie O'Donnell and the Lifetime network are being contacted in a bid to have the Island featured. CNN Travel is understood to be interested in taping here and CNN Showbiz Today could take part in the September jazz festival.

A Bermuda chef could be representing the Island on the TV Food Network and an Island vacation could be used as a prize to the studio audience on the chat show Rosie O'Donnell.

Tourism officials are also evaluating opportunities for using Bermuda as the backdrop for catalogue and fashion photo shoots.
