VIP chief aims to raise tourism's image
enhancing Bermuda's tourism product.
Stacey Evans has recently taken over at the helm of the organisation and the hospitality industry veteran has at least three new schemes in the pipeline.
Although not revealing what the ideas are, Stacey is determined that VIP will continue to make its mark as the industry bids to re-establish itself.
This winter, the School Outreach programme is being extended and volunteers will be going into all the Island middle schools, teaching the tourism and hospitality section of the curriculum.
There are also plans to improve on the Tourism Appreciation Week, which was held recently and heralded as a success.
Ms Evans previously worked in many tourism-connected businesses, including the St. George's Club, Bermuda Small Properties, Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort and overseas at Forte Hotels in Toronto.
She takes over at VIP from Suzanne DeCouto, and brings a wealth of experience to the job.
