Jerry Dale Kreider pleaded guilty to importing 5.9 grams of cannabis and drug equipment on Tuesday on the Song of America in St. George's.

When Police discovered the cannabis, he said: "It's mine.'' The 20-year-old machinist from Westchester, Pennsylvania asked Senior Magistrate Will Francis to be lenient as he had "spent a lot of money in Bermuda'' and only had $650 left.

Mr. Francis fined him $500 for possessing the cannabis and $100 for having the drug equipment.

DRUGS LEFT IN POLICE CAR CTS Drugs left in Police car A small twist containing cannabis which was left in a Police car cost a Paget man $150 after being fined by Senior Magistrate Will Francis yesterday.

Mark Duncan Moran, 20, of The Lane, pleaded guilty to possessing .45 grams of cannabis on June 18 in Pembroke.

Crown counsel Larry Mussenden told the court that at 3 a.m. outside Hamilton Police Station, Moran left a Police car while in custody for another matter.

A Policeman saw the twist of brown paper in the back seat where Moran had been sitting.

HEFTY FINED FOR RIDER CTS Hefty fines for rider A Pembroke man must pay $1,700 in fines after he pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to failing to appear for trial and traffic offences.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined Germel Dennis Williams $500 for failing to appear for trial on August 7 on four traffic offences dating from February 12.

Williams, 27, of Union Street, was also fined $400 for riding while disqualified, $300 for riding having an uninsured cycle, $200 for failing to stop for Police and $300 for riding an unlicensed cycle.

Mr. Francis also banned Williams from driving all motor vehicles for 12 months.

MAN FINED FOR DRUGS CTS Man fined for drugs A Southampton man was fined $250 after he pleaded guilty yesterday in Magistrates' Court to possessing 1.55 grams of cannabis.

Police saw Malcolm Raynor roll a homemade cigarette outside the Complete Office at 8.55 p.m. on June 12.

Crown counsel Larry Mussenden said Raynor, 27, of Raynor's Drive, was searched and found to have a clear plastic twist containing cannabis.

IMPAIRED RIDER BANNED CTS Impaired rider banned A St. George's man was fined $450 and banned from driving for one year after he pleaded guilty yesterday to impaired driving.

Kent Joseph Trott was followed by Police on Wellington Road on August 20.

They watched the Pink Beach houseman swerve about his side of the road on a blue Peugeot cycle.

When he was stopped, Trott, 35, said he had a "few'' beers.
