30-year-old was hurt after she apparently swerved to avoid a duck and collided with a tree in South Road, Devonshire, at about 8 a.m. on Friday.

Her lower body was bruised, while her male passenger cut his knee.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the car was badly damaged -- but the duck escaped unhurt.
