Police went to Ord Road, Paget, at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday and found members of the public and two off-duty Police officers attending to a woman who had been found lying on the sidewalk.

Apparently she had been assaulted following a domestic argument, reported a Police spokeswoman.

The woman was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance where she was kept under observation.
