Court jury this morning after a week long trial.

Robinson, 25, of Deepdale Road West, Pembroke, has denied importing 413 grams of cannabis worth more than $20,000 with intent to supply on January 17 this year.

Puisne Judge Norma Wade-Miller adjourned yesterday's session at noon to allow sufficient time for her legal direction to the jury.

In her summation, Crown Counsel Sandra Baccus told the ten woman, two man jury that Robinson's story about meeting a Bermudian woman who wanted him to contact her brother "defies credulity''.

"Everything he did was intended to deceive,'' she added.

She said the jury must be sure beyond a reasonable doubt that Robinson knew the cannabis was hidden inside a JVC CD player.

She added: "The real issue and only issue is whether the defendant knew. The law is that he is presumed to know.'' Robinson's lawyer, Elizabeth Christopher, told the jury that being asked to relay a message from overseas was "not very strange for us Bermudians''.

Ms Christopher added: "I don't recall the Crown had shown to you that on the stand Mr. Robinson had lied.'' Earlier, during cross-examination, Robinson said he could not recall whether he had travelled to Jamaica between October and December.

He also said "it's possible'' he only took one trip during that time, rather than two.
