Everest Desilva pleaded guilty before Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner to breaking and entering a taxi, DeCosta Construction's offices, and the CCS Group's warehouse.

Desilva also asked that nine other offences for $8,000 worth of thefts be taken into consideration.

"You stole everything from tools to vegetables!'' Mr. Warner told Desilva who is an admitted addict and stood shaking throughout the hearing.

"I don't think we've got enough power down here to deal with you,'' he continued. "The Supreme Court may want to give you a little more time to think about this behaviour.

"You've had everything -- probation, suspended sentences, community services, jail and you go back out and do this over again. You are remanded in custody for sentencing in the Supreme Court.'' Desilva had told Mr. Warner: "I'd like to say I fully cooperated with the Police sir. And I apologise for what I've done. I'm looking for help for stealing and my addiction for that.'' Desilva admitted stealing a briefcase containing $80, another $560 in cash and a cell phone from Curtis Sims owner of taxi 1763 between October 1 and 2nd last year.

He also admitted stealing $8,149 in tools from Decosta Construction, including a belt sander, drills, a nail gun, a Makita hammer, and nails overnight on December 6.

Computer networking company CCS's warehouse was also broken into overnight on December 8 and Desilva used a pair of bolt cutters found on the property to open employee lockers. More than $1,300 was stolen.

The break-ins that Desilva asked to be taken into consideration include a theft from a vegetable stand.
