yesterday will be spending Christmas in Casemates Prison.
Vaughn Chesterfield Fubler, 42, pleaded not guilty to possessing $3,000 worth of cannabis and $16,500 worth of cocaine with intent to supply, last September.
But he admitted obstructing a Police officer and possessing cannabis, cocaine, cigarette papers and drug equipment (including sandwich bags, foil, scissors, scales and plastic scoops).
The offences occurred on September 2.
After hearing arguments from the Crown, Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis said that "justice would best be served'' if Fubler, who was unrepresented, was remanded in custody until his trial.
Mr. Francis ordered the obstruction charge to be heard on January 26 and the other matters on May 18.
