Craig Spencer, of Deepdale Lane, admitted threatening and abusive behaviour outside the Police Operations Yard, on Gymnasium Road, on December 8.

Prosecuting, Sgt. Earl Kirby said: "Mr. Spencer was walking out of the Police Operations Yard after attending to some personal business.

"He began shouting and making threatening remarks. When he was told to stop, he swore at officers.'' Spencer, using language spiced with swear words, asked Police officers: "What the f... are you going to do about it?'' And on being told to calm down, threatened to "smash them in their faces.'' While he was making the threat he held a kryptonite lock, used for securing his bike, above his head. A Police officer disarmed Spencer and arrested him.

Pizza delivery man Spencer told the court: "I was vexed because the officers would not give me my motorcycle back.'' Magistrate the Wor. John Judge said: "This young man is badly in need of guidance.'' He asked for a social inquiry report.
