MAN ADMITS FORGERIES CTS Man admits forgeries A Devonshire man will appear for sentencing on August 11 after pleading guilty to 16 counts of stealing, forgery, uttering false documents and getting property under false pretences.

Adib Abdul-Jabbar, 49, of Longridge Pass, yesterday admitted in the Supreme Court to stealing five cheques from James Bascome and receiving more than $1,000 from bank cashiers in late January this year.

He has been remanded in custody until his hearing next week.
