Appeal made in hit-and-run
hit-and-run accident which occurred last Saturday.
At around 10.30 p.m. a livery cycle was travelling east on North Shore Road, Devonshire when it collided with a car which was emerging from Long Range Hill.
Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said the 15-year-old passenger on the cycle sustained a fractured pelvis and leg injuries, while the rider suffered cuts and abrasions.
The car, which was described as a white Toyota with a spoiler mounted on the rear, failed to stop after the accident and continued in an easterly direction.
P.c. Venning said attempts to locate the car have been unsuccessful and the investigation officer, P.c. Arthur Glasford, is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the accident or know of a recently-damaged white Toyota to contact him in the Traffic Department at 295-0011.
