Two Bermudians on the Island and a third in Atlanta, Georgia, who were allegedly involved in the operation involving millions of dollars of drugs, have been arrested, ZBM reported.

US Drugs Administration officers were on the Island recently and received help from Bermuda Police as part of a sting operation, according to the report.

Several million dollars of drug money have been laundered through a local financial organisation, the report claimed.

A Bermuda Police spokeswoman said last night: "A number of arrests have been made in connection with a drugs importation case and inquiries are underway.''
