Suja Amon Muhammad beat 38-year-old Charles Christopher on December 13 and fractured the man's skull and jaw and caused severe bruising to his body.

Yesterday Senior Magistrate Will Francis was given a medical report detailing Mr. Christopher's medical condition but he delayed sentencing again until January 18 when a psychiatric report is expected to be completed.

Muhammad, 24, of Scott's Hill Road, told Police he gave Mr. Christopher $50 to buy marijuana and expected to get back change.

Muhammad later caught up with Mr. Christopher and kicked and beat him so forcefully he was rolling about the ground unconscious.

Police arrived to find Muhammad trying to put Mr. Christopher in a large trash bin.
