Bail conditions altered
hearing before a Magistrate yesterday.
Magistrate Archibald Warner altered Keith Alexander Faulkner's bail to $40, 000 with one surety in a like amount.
Faulkner, 31, of New Jersey, and represented by lawyer Lawrence Scott, has been in custody since January 8.
He denies charges he imported cocaine, possessed cocaine with intent to supply and forgery of travel documents. He opted for a Supreme Court trial.
A co-accused has pleaded guilty to importing $59,000 worth of cocaine.
Faulkner's bail was increased from $20,000 to $40,000 and the requirement for two sureties at $20,000 each was dropped.
He must still provide a local address and report to a Police station and surrender all travel documents.
By law, only the results of the hearing can be reported.
