Bank robbery trial adjourned
trial yesterday because a prosecution witness was unavailable.
The witness, Robert Wilson, who has been declared a hostile witness, began his testimony on Tuesday but failed to show up on Wednesday to be cross examined.
It later emerged that Wilson was in hospital and was unable to testify.
Crown Counsel Mr. Khamisi Tokunbo asked for an adjournment until Monday morning. He is expected to finish the Crown's case then as he has one more witness.
Francis 27, of Stadium Heights, Devonshire, is alleged to have supplied the nine millimetre handgun and ridden the get-away vehicle that was used in the robbery of the Southampton Princess branch of the Bank of Butterfield on October, 14, 1994.
Francis is represented by lawyer Mr. Archie Warner. Puisne Judge the Hon. Mrs.
Justice Wade is presiding.
