The December/January issue of Men's Journal features an article on actor Michael Douglas and the joys of playing golf on Bermuda's lush greens.
The three-page spread takes readers along with Mr. Douglas as he plays the Mid Ocean Club in Tucker's Town, Ocean View Golf Course in Devonshire and the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton.
The story also contained information on the Ariel Sands Beach Club -- the Devonshire resort owned by Mr. Douglas and his family.
DRIVING SPOTLIGHTED TOU SEA Diving spotlighted Bermuda's reputation as one of the world's leading wreck diving destinations was highlighted recently at a major UK dive show.
The annual dive show in Birmingham attracted more than 15,000 visitors.
Attending the show was Candida Checksfield from Bermuda Tourism's UK office and Nautilus Diving Ltd.'s Nanci Wan. They were joined by Thomas Cook Holidays' Glyn Dixon.
Thomas Cook is featuring dive holidays to Bermuda for the first time this year.
WOMAN ASSAULTED CRM Woman assaulted Police have arrested two men for assaulting a 19-year-old woman outside a nightclub on Sunday morning.
The pair, a 24-year-old Pembroke man and a 26-year-old Warwick man, allegedly sexually and physically assaulted the young woman as she waited in line to enter a club on Reid Street.
A Police spokesperson said the men were waiting in line behind the woman when one of them allegedly sexually assaulted her despite being told to stop.
The same man then punched the woman in her face, knocking her to the ground.
He jumped on top of her and continued to punch her about the head several times. The other man also kicked the woman while she was on the ground.
Several witnesses then helped the victim to her feet and protected her from further attacks.
Another bystander flagged the woman a taxi to take her home.
She was later taken to the Hamilton Police Station and then to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where she was treated for a broken nose and a fracture to her left eye.
PEMBROKE MAN HELD CRM Pembroke man held Police arrested a 38-year-old Pembroke man during the early hours of Sunday morning on suspicion of being involved in two indecent acts in Pembroke.
The first took place at a Spanish Point Road residence where a female complainant told Police she was having a cup of coffee in her kitchen just before 5 p.m.
She said she heard a knock at the door and when she peered through the window she saw a man standing outside.
She asked him what he wanted and he replied with a "lewd suggestion''. The woman immediately ran and called her husband.
The suspect made good his escape, but the woman was able to provide a description to Police.
And about one hour later, Police received a report from a Sunset Pass resident who said she saw a man committing an indecent act in her garden.
Police attended the house and the man attempted to run away, but was caught and arrested. His description matched that given by the woman in the previous incident.
GUARD THREATENED CRM Guard threatened Police this weekend responded to a report that a man threatened a security guard at a Court Street restaurant with a knife.
But when officers arrived at Roosters around 4 a.m. on Sunday, no-one wanted to come forward with sufficient information regarding the complaint, a Police spokesperson said.
One man told Police that a man he did not know pulled a knife on him, but he was unwilling to press charges.
The officers were unable to find out any further information and no additional Police action was required.
