Bermuda-registered company hit with a $25 million writ

Swiss American Bank Ltd. has filed a writ for $25 million with Bermuda Supreme Court citing Bermuda-registered National Petroleum Ltd. as the defendant.
The firm of Conyers Dill & Pearman (CD&P), acting as counsel for Swiss American, filed the writ for $24,933,989 on Monday. National Petroleum Ltd.
was incorporated as a Bermuda company in 1979 and its registered office is the Bank of Bermuda. Lawyer Mr. Narinder Hargun at CD&P declined to comment on the matter while Bank of Bermuda executive vice president of banking Mr. Barry Shailer could not be reached for comment.
