For Mrs. Fletcher has been to the Island on vacation more than 30 times in the past 33 years.
And she woud like to stay here for good because her home in the tiny village of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, is bitterly cold at this time of year.
Mrs. Fletcher, 72, flies back to the snow this weekend but is relishing the thought of returning again in May.
Born in Newcastle, England, her family moved between England and Canada over a period of years before settling back in England before the war.
Mrs. Fletcher's husband Mr. Henry Fletcher was a Spitfire pilot and died during the Second World War. They had one son.
After the war Mrs. Fletcher continued to work as an accountant, taking her son to Canada.
In 1959 she made her first trip to Bermuda. She said: "Somebody suggested I come here and I fell in love with the Island.
"I first stayed in St. George's and on that first trip I had made up my mind that it would not be my last. The people here are nice and of course it is much warmer than Canada. I do suffer when I am cold.'' Mrs. Fletcher has a grandson aged seven and a granddaughter aged six.
