Bermudian, 32, to stand trial in US next month
imprisonment in Atlanta will stand trial next month.
Royston Anthony Place, 32, was picked up by Police in Atlanta last summer in connection with two armed robberies that took place in the US earlier in the year. He was subsequently released on bail and was due to be tried this month.
Yesterday, a spokesman for the Fulton County District Attorney, the jurisdiction in which the offences took place, confirmed that the trial date had been put back until next month at the request of Place's lawyer.
The spokesman added that, after being released on bail for the two robbery charges, Place was subsequently re-arrested and charged with stalking and false imprisonment.
It is understood that, although released on bail for a second time, Place has been ordered to remain in the US until his trial which is set for September 27.
