According to a Harvard University paper published by Dr. J.N. Prade, proportionally Bermuda has more college and university students in American institutions than any other.

The American Universities Admissions Programme index compares the number of students from a foreign country studying in America, against the number of students studying in their home country.

According to Dr. Pratt's calculations Bermuda sends half of its student population to the US. Hong Kong, Jamaica and Trinidad are the next highest on the list.

The paper reports that of the 481,280 foreign students in the US in 1997-1998, 562 were Bermudian.
