BF&M shareholders called to special general meeting

Now BF&M's shareholders will give their verdict on the settlement's terms -- at a special general meeting to convene next Tuesday, December 14.

Both the preference and common shareholders of BF&M Limited have been called by company secretary R. John Wright to meet at 2.30 p.m. in the Hamilton Princess Hotel's Princess Louise Room.

Preference shareholders will have their say on a resolution to improve the bye-laws of BF&M Limited -- specifically, amending schedule three, plus adding two new bye-laws. Common shareholders will be able to approve the settlement of the litigation, along with "certain'' of the Board's methods in implementing the settlement.

Shareholders unable to attend are urged to sign and date a proxy and either deliver it to BF&M, or send by fax care to the attention of Mr. Wright.

The BF&M Shareholders' Assocation will also meet to receive and consider the terms of settlement and then vote on its terms.

Members unable to attend were urged by BF&M Shareholders Association chairman Louis Mowbray to date and sign a proxy for the secretary of the association, care of attorneys Marshall & Company.
