Mr. Allan Powell, owner of The Wharf, said the fish was not valuable, but he wanted it back.

"We think we know who's got it,'' Mr. Powell said. "It's actively being investigated by the Police.'' Anyone with information is asked to telephone Police in St. George's at 297-0377.

ASLEEP AT CHURCH CTS Asleep at church Sleeping on the steps of a church cost a Sandys Parish man $100 yesterday.

Neville Keith Knights, 34, of Somerset Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to being drunk and incapable in a public place.

Police travelling west along Middle Road in Sandys saw Knights sleeping at the bottom of the steps of the Salvation Army church, Police prosecutor Sgt.

Kenrick James said.

On being awakened, Knights swore at the officers. Sgt. James said it was clear that he was drunk.

But Knights yesterday said he had been to a party and was waiting for his friend to bring his car when he fell asleep on the steps.

"When the officer woke me up he started shaking me and telling me I was drunk,'' he told court.

BAM EXTENDED CTS BAM extended An American resident was fined $350 and taken off the road for a further year yesterday after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified.

Michael Jude Wooding, 24, pleaded guilty to the offence in Magistrates' Court.

Police stopped Wooding shortly after 9 p.m. on March 28 at Kindley Field Road, St. George's, prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said.

They discovered that he was banned from driving until February 24, next year.

Wooding, who asked Police to give him a break, was yesterday taken off the road until February 24, 1995.

STRUCK BY BOTTLE CRM Struck by bottle A Pembroke man received a six months conditional discharge in Magistrates' Court yesterday for throwing a bottle of water at a man in Elliott Street.

Twenty-one-year-old Leo Edward Richardson, of Happy Valley Road, admitted offensive behaviour.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said Police saw Richardson in an "agitated'' state in Elliott Street at about 4.30 p.m. on April 3.

He was shouting at a man, and then threw a bottle of water at him, he added.

"The bottle struck the man on the shoulder, but fortunately most of the water had flowed out of the bottle during its flight,'' said Insp. Duffy.

Richardson told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis it would never happen again.

TAX DEADLINE TAX Tax deadline Managers and the self-employed have been given a stern reminder by the Tax Commissioner.

Hospital Levy and Employment Tax for the quarter ending March 31 must be paid by this Thursday, April 15. That date is also the deadline for Hotel Occupancy Tax for last month.

Payment can be made to the cashiers on the ground floor of the Government Administration Building in Parliament Street. Alternatively, it can be mailed to the Tax Commissioner's Office, PO Box HM 1374, Hamilton HM FX.

Employers and the self-employed must register with the office for tax purposes.

QUIET EASTER CRM Quiet easter Burglars apparently took a break over the Easter weekend with Police reporting a relatively quiet holiday.

Jewellery was stolen in a break-in on Shelly Hall Drive in Hamilton Parish, Police said. And there was also one break-in on Sunshine Lane in Sandys, and two in Paget.

The Paget break-ins were on separate mornings, one on South Road and one on Middle Road. In both cases, occupants heard the culprits inside the house.

DRIVER CHEATED CRM Driver cheated A taxi driver was cheated out of a $30-dollar fare on Easter Sunday morning, Police reported yesterday. A man rode from Dockyard to St. Augustine Hill in Pembroke, then walked away without paying, Police said.
